Let excitement overtake your Quad Day nerves

Before my freshman year of high school began, I took it upon myself to memorize song of the school alma mater. He was 15 lines long, learning the song was not easy. My friends did not even know there was a song. But I needed to know.

"What if an older kid in the hallway and stop me singing the song?! This happens in movies. I need to memorize this thing! "I defended myself to my friends. They just do not understand - I had to be ready.

College is no different. I want to know everything in advance, so I ended up doing a search quad short day a few days ago.

It seems like a daunting event, especially for a rookie noob like me. Of course, I will attend, but that does not mean I'm not afraid. So to be perfectly prepared, I am determined to know all the clubs before I was only there.

I googled "clubs at the University of I" and found nothing. It took a little searching to realize that the clubs are not even called the Illinois clubs. They are registered student organizations.

s, and when I saw the number, my jaw dropped.

"Holy Crap," I gasped. "More than 800 different clubs?"

I was in awe.

Slowly, I began to scroll. The first club that I read about was called the dance troupe 3Spot, a dance group. I tried to imagine myself dancing like an idiot for recreation. I can not dance. This club has been ruled out immediately.

And then there was the American Concrete Institute, "a unified community of concrete knowledge is to develop and disseminate all the knowledge needed to use concrete to its fullest potential." I imagined coming home at Thanksgiving and tell my family that I had fallen in love with ... concrete.This is my main case), Fighting Illini Triathlon, Knitting Illini, October Lovers ... the list goes on and on.

The options are endless club. I could hang out in clubs for Illini in the morning and sing with the Girls Next Door a cappella group at night. (Never mind the fact that I can not do a pull-up or carry a tune.)

Quad Day is near, and I'm still a little nervous. But hey, I did my homework. I'm ready.
