Oil Pan Freeze Plug And screw in plug - Ford Truck Enthusiasts Forums
Any body know why they put what appears to be a freeze plug on the front of the oil pan, I know the purpose of a freeze plug, but in the oil pan ?, Also what is the hex plug next to it for. Installed oil and tranny heaters yesterday and noticed these. Just wondering if the plug is for a Ford screw in heat element if and when the pad I put on fails.
